Eastron SDM630-Modbus V2 Modbus register map
DIN rail three phase energy meter for 3P4W, 3P3W and 1P2W systems with an RS485 Modbus RTU port. It reports voltage, current, power, power factor, frequency, harmonic distortion and import and export energy counters.
- Protocol
- Modbus RTU
- Defaults
- Per the protocol document: node address 1, 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity and one stop bit. Address range 1 to 247.
- Addresses in the manual
- Modicon style numbers (for example 40001 is holding register 0)
- 32 and 64-bit values
- High word first (AB CD)
- Registers listed
- 81
- Checked against

Address base. The register tables print 5-digit Modicon style numbers (3xxxx for input, 4xxxx for holding) and also give the hex start address used on the wire, for example 30001 is wire address 0x0000 and 40003 is 0x0002 (pp. 2-7 of the PDF). The two 6-digit holding numbers (461457, 464513) map to wire 0xF010 and 0xFC00. For example 30001 in the manual (Phase 1 line to neutral voltage) is address 0 on the wire.
Word order. Each value is a 32-bit IEEE 754 float in two registers, most significant register first by default (p. 1). The manual describes a Register Order setting that switches this by writing 2141.0 into it, but the table I read does not list its address.
Modbus Poll and the Modbus protocol itself count from 0. The "Wire address" column is the number to type into Modbus Poll.

The register table has every column on this page. The blocks file imports into Modbus Poll. The template JSON holds the same blocks plus unit, scale and access for scripts.

Open in Modbus Poll
- Download the Modbus Poll blocks file.
- Open Modbus Poll, connect to the device and set its unit ID. In Modbus Poll set Word order to AB CD.
- In the blocks panel on the right, click Import CSV and pick the file. CSV import is a Pro feature. Without Pro, Modbus Poll polls the first 20 values of your blocks.
- The wire addresses are already in the file, so there is no 0-based or 1-based conversion to do.
Once the values look right, export the tag list to Ignition, Kepware, Node-RED, Home Assistant or Voltrus SCADA.
