What CNC Explorer Does

CNC Explorer is a native macOS application that connects to MTConnect agents and FANUC controllers (FOCAS over Ethernet), and can run an MTConnect agent simulator and a CNC simulator on your Mac. It runs entirely on your Mac.

Data Collection

CNC Explorer does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No machine data leaves your Mac. Observations, positions, programs, alarms and macro values exist only in the app's memory and in files you export yourself.
• No usage analytics. The app does not include any analytics SDK, tracking pixels, or telemetry. We do not know how you use the app.
• No crash reporting. The app does not send crash reports automatically. If you report a bug, you choose what information to share.

Network Communication

The app connects only to the agent URL or controller address you enter, and to the simulators you start on your own Mac. The simulators listen on your Mac only while you run them. The only communication with Voltrus is:

• Licence activation: If you enter a Pro licence key, the app contacts dl-cnc-explorer.voltrus.id. The request contains your licence key, a device identifier, the app version and the platform (for example macos-aarch64). While a key is saved, the app re-checks it with the same server about once per launch and sends the same fields plus the activation ID. Removing the key tells the server to release the activation. No other data is sent.

Local Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your Mac:

• Saved connection profiles (agent URLs and controller addresses you choose to save): stored in app preferences
• Licence key, activation ID and the device identifier: stored in the macOS Keychain
• Files you export, such as CSV: written to a place you choose

All local data can be deleted by removing the app and its Keychain entry.

Licence Purchase

Licences are processed through Polar.sh. We receive only your email address and purchase details. We do not receive or store payment card information.

Children's Privacy

CNC Explorer is an engineering tool. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Cookies and Analytics

This product page (voltrus.id/cnc-explorer/) counts page views and clicks with One Dollar Stats and RevKlik. Neither sets cookies. RevKlik stores a random visitor ID in your browser; the Voltrus privacy page lists what it records. The app itself contains zero analytics.

Third-Party Services

• Polar.sh: Payment processing and licence key management. Their privacy policy applies to purchase data.
• Cloudflare: Hosts the licence validation and download server. No personal data is stored on Cloudflare beyond temporary request logs.

FANUC and FOCAS are trademarks of FANUC Corporation. MTConnect is a trademark of AMT, The Association For Manufacturing Technology. CNC Explorer is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by either.

Data Retention

We retain your email address (from Polar.sh purchases) for as long as necessary to provide licence support, and the activation record (key, device identifier, app version, platform) for as long as the licence is active. You can request deletion of your purchase data by emailing us.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to processing of your personal data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
